Apologies . . .

And then life gets away from you and you find that the blogging has become secondary again. I'm really sorry about that guys, I've just been crazy busy, doing edits, doing chores . . .

I will recommend that if any of you are feeling antsy with my poor blogging habits of late, that you follow me on Twitter. Tweeting, I have discovered, is a the perfect way to stay in touch during the crazy times. It takes only a couple seconds to make a tweet. Of course this ease of Twitter also means that people can just say things without thinking every now and then (let us recall author Alice Hoffman's angry tweeting in response to a bad review - news of which quickly made the rounds around the net back in July). But I digress.

My point is, if you ever find that I'm just not posting here as much as usual, check me out on Twitter where I do occasionally share interesting industry links and post oh so insightful tweets about my life. For example: I like to share with the world how much I love LOST. Yes. I know. You're feeling enlightened now aren't you?

I will continue to blog however. I love it. I really do. But like I've explained many times before I put a lot of work into my blog posts, and I don't want to compromise their quality because I feel a pressure to post at a point when I really don't have the time to spare. I know you guys understand this as you've always been supportive. I guess I just wanted to acknowledge that I am aware that my posting of late has been . . . crappy.

In the meantime, check out this lovely video about publishing books for teens that is both thought provoking and very true. I've always felt kids/teens don't always get the respect they deserve, and this video speaks to that:

And here's a video that's just plain adorable and has nothing whatsoever to do with publishing:

The first vid was clever. This second a perfect level of silly to leave me smiling!
